Globally recognised Instrumental-rock band toe have announced new album, called “For Long Tomorrow” on December 9th.
For Long Tomorrow will be toe first release since new sentimentality e.p., which was released three years ago. It will also be their first original album in nearly four years, as their last full-length original release, the book about my idle plot on a vague anxiety, came out back in 2005.
Among the album’s thirteen tracks, there will be a few collaborations, including Clammbom’s vocalist Harada Ikuko in the song After Image, Hoshikawa Yuzuru (DRY RIVER STRINGS, ex-UP AND COMING) in Say It Ain’t So, and former Cymbals vocalist Toki Asako in Goodbye.
toe also planning for their 2nd Asian tour that will scheduled to start from 2010!
4年振りのフルレングス・アルバム遂に完成!
フルレングスとしては4年、単独音源としては[New Sentimentality ep]以来3年振りとなる今作。リードトラックとなる[After Image]では原田郁子(クラムボン)をフィーチャーリング。Fuji Rock Festival ‘07出演時に好評を得た土岐麻子バージョンの[グッドバイ]、そして盟友ex. Up and Coming、現Dry River Stringsの干川弦をゲストボーカルとして迎えたトラック[Say it aint so]を含む13曲を収録。「ポストロック」という{在るけど無い}、{無いけど在る}みたいな矛盾したジャンルにカテゴライズされことが多いtoeだが、今作はまさに脱カテゴライズ。そして、すべてを突き抜けた超傑作。ある意味、柏倉隆史、美濃隆章、山根さとし、山嵜廣和という4人が鳴らす音楽=toe:というジャンルなのだ。
